Later still in 2001 he began the first of his annual visits to the Dorset coast. This influenced the Cumberland Pencil Co. when they commissioned a seascape from him to promote a new range of drawing pencils.

Malcolm and his wife Jo have recently moved (again) this time to a small village in Rutland.
